VISUAL DATA MEDIA SERVICES ACQUIRES MX1 UK LIMITED

Visual Data has announced the acquisition of MX1 UK Limited, a London-based entity that has a track record of providing excellent content preparation services to leading broadcasters and content owners.

Located in North Acton, MX1 UK Limited provides content preparation services as a part of SES, the world’s leading satellite operator and managed service provider. Its strong client base of major studios, TV and film distributors, broadcasters and streaming platforms complements Visual Data’s existing client base in Europe and North America.

With this sale, SES continues to focus on its core business of hybrid content distribution, end-to-end content management and content monetization services.

SES remains firmly committed to the development of its core service business in the UK market and worldwide.

VDMS plans to make substantial investment in 4K, HDR and IMF mastering at the company’s 10,000sqft site in North Acton as part of its mission to pursue a ‘best of the best’ approach to technology and systems.

All existing MX1 UK contracts with current customers will remain unaffected.
